Wild Place in The Snow-2nd Feb 2019

Updated: Feb 25, 2019

As the snow had disappeared from home we decided we would do a zoo nearby and as Wild Place had the flattest route to get to it we decided to go there surprisingly there was a lot of snow still left at Wild Place and had to park in the snow.

This happened to be the day after I had said I have always wanted photos of animals in the snow. We headed to the Gelades first but they were in bed in the warm so went to the Cheetahs as I wanted to get those in the snow the most. Safe to say they put on a performance for us after the keepers had placed the food in the enclosure.

After the cheetahs we decided that we would go to the Zebras and Elands and the pigs not expecting them to be out in the snow especially the pigs however all were outside showing well.

We then headed to the walled garden to see the meerkats and the Birds as it was too cold for the dik dik's to be outside.

We then headed to see the 5 brother grey wolves as they normally are very shy and hides on the bare foot trail part than the bottom end but this time they were down by the glass window where there was more snow. Safe to say the wolves didn't mind the snow.

We then headed to the lemurs when it opened however the lemurs were not too keen on the snow so was jumping around to parts that have no snow on so managed to get a few photos of the lemurs before they headed inside

Finally we headed to the reindeer and the okapis and the geladas to finish before heading home
